If you have ever looked lonely onto a golf course and wished that you were capable of playing just as well as the professionals do, or if you have ever found yourself watching television wishing you could play along with them you may have the idea of golf lessons in your head. This is a sport that almost anyone can play and is appropriate for all ages as well as genders. There are professional levels, amateur levels, those who play for only fun, and even those who are children that play together. Finding someone to play with is generally not a problem, and still others choose to play by themselves. Due to the incredible versatility that golf offers it is no wonder why so many people look forward to learning to play golf.

The major drawback to learning golf can be the lessons. There are times when it is difficult to find a good qualified instructor, and other times when the lessons are not at convenient times and still other times when the prices of lessons is so unaffordable that it is virtually impossible to arrange. Yet if you are considering really trying to learn golf, it is important that you invest in some good lessons. This is going to be one of the times where you need to look for several golf instructors in order to have the best overall results.

If you have started really thinking about learning golf taking lessons from a professional instructor will allow you to get some key information and tips about how to stand appropriately, swing the club appropriately and even learn which clubs are best to be used and when. The information that an instructor can give you in invaluable. Yet if you are just not certain about using an instructor you are free to search the internet for tips, articles and even videos that can give you advice and suggestions. Those who choose to forgo the lessons with a good instructor usually find that they struggle to really learn the basic concepts that are essential.

For children especially it is important to have lessons with an instructor at least for a short period of time to learn the basics. Some of the more advanced concepts can be learned after they have mastered the basics with an instructor and just through practicing playing. This is a good way to save money, however if you are dreaming about your child becoming the next Tiger Woods it would be wise to continue lessons for a good while. If you are an adult considering lessons you may want to pay for a few sessions which would allow you to really get your basics established.

Once the basics are established, you do not have to worry quite so much about taking lessons. However, if you are not working to build your skills using well developed basic skills you are going to be looking at plenty of frustration on the golf course as you try to troubleshoot for yourself what you are doing wrong and why your ball is always going into the trees and sandpits. There are plenty of golf courses located all around the world, which gives you plenty of opportunities to find a good golf instructor to work with.

Investing a bit of money into some good golf lessons will be very much worth your time when you are trying to learn golf. The tips and suggestions that they can offer you will prove to be highly invaluable and you are certain to enjoy the time that you spend improving your skills. Learning on your own is always a great concept and idea, but in a situation like learning golf, it can be a task that is virtually impossible. You are perfectly free to look around for additional resources to help you further improve your skills, but a few lessons will go a very long way to setting you up to play golf successfully.

Buying golf clubs can be an exciting venture, almost like buying your first car or getting your first house mortgage. As with any financial investment, you want to pick something that will be useful for years to come. Therefore your clubs should work perfectly with your swinging style. By picking clubs that are comfortable to use, you can reduce the likelihood of ever having to replace your clubs. When you go shopping for clubs, you should look for several things that will increase the comfort and quality of your purchase. These are easy things to look for, and by making a small checklist you can avoid wasting your money on something that doesn’t fully satisfy your needs.

First of all, you should pay close attention to the way the golf club feels when you hold it and swing it. Pick it up at the store and give it a few test swings, and maybe even hit a few balls with it if the store will allow you to. The flex of the shaft, the weight of the club, and the length of the club will all combine to create a very unique feel for every single golf club you try, and if you try enough then you are sure to find one that feels ideal. If you begin to notice traits that you prefer, such as a higher flex level in the shaft or a shorter length, then you can choose golf clubs based on these specific features.

The material of the golf club is a very important part of the factor. The material that the shaft is made out of depends on how much flex you want in it. Graphite shafts are usually suggested for beginners, and have a higher level of flexibility. Steel shafts are cheaper and more reliable, but much heavier. Some people prefer to have this weight and momentum as the swing the club, but some can’t get used to it. Again, you will have just have to go the club store and swing the clubs around a bit so as to get used to the feel.

The head of the golf club will need to be a very strong material. While a graphite shaft is usually a good choice for beginners, it is not a good idea to choose a similar alloy on the head of the golf club. Iron has, and probably always will be, the best choice for the golf club head. Usually iron heads have the perfect amount of weight (though you can get this adjusted) and enough strength to be very long lasting. Even if you usually prefer golf clubs to be much lighter, you will probably find that an alloy head causes the golf club to be rather abnormal and almost unusable.

The golf club grips may not seem like much of an important part, but you would be surprised at what an adverse effect an uncomfortable grip can have on your game. Your hands may become sore from gripping it, and you will slowly become less and less comfortable with each swing. Therefore when you are picking out a golf club, you should be very happy with the grip. If you aren’t fully satisfied, you can replace the grip. You can find replacements in some club stores, and most definitely online. Don’t be afraid to customize your clubs in order to make them more pleasant to use.

The Swing Weight of a Golf Club Plays a Very Important Role in Your Golf Swing

Many golfers use weights connected to their clubs in order to build the muscles they use in their golf swing. By attaching a larger weight and swinging the golf club, it has the same effect as lifting weights. The weight of the club strains the muscles in a beneficial way, and increases the overall strength. If you feel the need to put more power into your swing, then this is a great way to work out the muscles. A beginning golfer will usually feel very unnatural when making the swing, and will not be very comfortable with the motion involved. Building the muscle will make it much more natural.

The swing weight of a golf club plays a very important part in the quality and movement of your swing. If you have just been playing with borrowed clubs or second-hand clubs, you probably just adapted your swing to fit with the weight of the clubs that you already have. When you go to buy new clubs, you will want to carefully consider the weight of the club. There are several ways you can determine the weight that you should go with. There is a very precise equation for getting the best club, and it involves a tradeoff. The lighter the club, the faster you can swing it. At the same time, if the club is heavier you can get more momentum into it.

The speed of your swing will largely determine the weight of the club that you will want. If you have a fairly fast swing, a light golf club will usually be a better choice since it will allow you to make all of the force of your swing as fast as you can. If you tend to have a slower swing, the added weight at the end of the golf club will be quite helpful in adding more momentum. You might overshoot the first few hits with your new club, but if you get used to it you will notice a huge benefit from the weight. However, before you buy any golf club you should always try it out for a test game. This is the best way to make sure that you are buying something that will work out for the best in the end.

If you aren’t sure about what you should do to determine the golf club head weight that is optimal for you, you should probably look for advice from a seasoned golfer who will have a much more thorough knowledge of the sport than you do. You can ask your golfing buddy for some advice, your you can go to the golf club store and see if they have any words of wisdom that will help you out. Your goal is to buy the club that is perfect for your swinging style, since anything else can greatly disrupt your game. Someone with the right eye and the thorough knowledge of golf clubs will be able to help you choose this ideal club without too much of a hassle.

Picking a golf club is never easy or fast, and it is often not cheap. Keep this in mind while you are looking for the golf clubs that you want, and you will not be surprised by the experience in the least. Just persevere and use as many resources as you can, and you will be able to accomplish your goal.

Looking for a way to improve your golf swing without having to re-arrange your whole way of thinking. This may be about the easiest option to try. Many golfers have seen improvements in their golf swing after trying the stack and tilt method and have stayed with this swing because it brings results. Continue reading →

The concept is rather easy, stack your weight and tilt to the target. The Stack & Tilt swing has convinced many, that this method holds the key to more consistency and power. Everyone wants to improve their golf swing, but is this swing for everyone? Let’s look at this swing closer and what type of golfer would most benefit.

Stack & Tilt innovators Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett have pioneered a concept that is truly revolutionizing the golf swing. They have rolled out a method that has convinced some of the best golfers in the world to change their bread and butter… their swing. Not an easy task! The results have been quite astounding. Many PGA players are now either using, or considering using this swing with the same thing in mind -to improve the golf swing and gain consistency and power.

For the better player, it holds many possibilities to improve the swing. But for some, it
may not quite hold as much promise…

Take a look at what this swing can do:

If you are thinking of trying this swing and struggle with an “outside-in” path, a problem that plagues many beginners, you may want to reconsider. A player that struggles with a fault that results in an “over the top” swing path would probably only exaggerate the problem by changing swings. You would be better off trying to correct the fault before making such drastic changes.

If you are a better player that “hangs back” and struggles with pushes and hooks, read on. This swing definitely holds opportunities for improvement.

For the better player that already has a solid foundation and only wants to gain more distance or better control for his irons, the Stack & Tilt may be just the ticket. The swing emphasizes the “position at impact” to help improve ball striking consistency. Because the conventional swing uses a weight shift to both sides during the swing, players very often get “caught” with their weight on the back foot. This causes mis-hits and tops.

The Stack & Tilt centers your weight over the ball and promotes minimal weight shift, continually remaining centered is the goal. The result is a steeper angle of attack with a flatter and more rotational swing. This provides an element of consistency and the swing improvement naturally follows, especially with irons where your angle of attack needs to be steeper.
Learn More Here!

So if you struggle with an “over the top” swing path, correct the problem before moving onto this swing methodology. If however, you are a better player that struggles with the occasional push and/or hook, you will want to seriously consider the Stack & Tilt swing. It provides you the opportunity to add an element of consistency you may not find in the conventional swing.

Are you considering jumping ship on the conventional swing to make strides in that ever elusive GIR stat? Maybe make some headway on hitting more fairways? If you so, please visit Stack Tilt for my review of this swing improvement method. Go on, be the big dog of your foursome!

Did you ever notice that there really is no one set of fundamentals when it comes to the golf swing? Lee Travino’s golf swing was different from Arnold Palmer’s. And Jack Nicklaus’s golf swing was different from Pau Azinger’s. Doesn’t that tell you something? Each one of them had a different stance and a different grip. Their follow-through was also different. Some aimed to the left, others to the right and some would go right down the middle.

Bottom Line – There is no one set of fundamentals when it comes to golf. What you have to do is find out what works for you and do it consistently. The Stack and Tilt Golf Method can do everything for your golf swing that a good instructor can do. This method may even be a more natural swing for you, giving you the advantage of allowing your body to pivot the way it naturally tends to do, and using it to your benefit.

Take a look at what this swing can do:

What are the differences between the Stack and Tilt golf swing and the conventional golf swing? To start with, your posture will be different. Your back will be slightly curved and the your head is down versus the conventional posture of your back being straight and your head up. This may be more comfortable for you right from the start.

Another difference is that your weight distribution will be slightly modified. With the Stack and Tilt golf method your weight is forward when you address the ball, and it keeps moving forward to the finish. The classic swing however has your weight shifting back, then forward. It will take a little practice but you’ll get the hang of it quickly enough.

Now the Stack and Tilt golf swing isn’t the kind of swing that will generate the most power for you, but it does generate more than enough. It is a good balance – a blend of control and power. After all what good is power without control? And what good is control without the distance? But if you can balance the two you will be ahead of the game and you won’t go back.

Here are some reviews from golfers who have changed their golf swing to the Stack and Tilt Golf Method:

The Stack and Tilt method solves the problem of lifting the head because it feels like it actually lowers to the ball at the start of the backswing and the slide of the hips towards the target is actually encouraged in this swing. I hit my irons more crisp. MY drives are not any longer but I feel that I am more in control of their direction.

Stack and Tilt worked for me! I have been using for 4 months and have consistently lowered my scores and contributed to a double eagle last week.
Rick from Arizona

With the “stack” at least, I stay much more centered over the ball and am able to strike it much more cleanly.

I have introduced this Stack & Tilt to many of my friends. Most of them success in improving their ball striking, and of course, improve their score. It is something that golfers should try.

Better scoring. ’nuff said.
Murray A.

Stack/Tilt works for me. The beauty of it all is I just react now. I just swing the club. I can tell I stress less over the ball and am probably holding the grip lighter because of it. It feels very natural to me. I’ve never struck the golf ball like this in the 15 years that I’ve played this game!

I have now played more pain free rounds of golf in the past 2 weeks since switching to SaT than in the previous 4 weeks…
Dan
